About Play Therapy
Play Therapy is a mode of therapy where children can choose to express themselves through play and creativity, using a range of mediums including sand, art, puppets, music, clay, and toys.
It can be difficult for children to process and put into words their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Play Therapy gives children a safe space and relationship within which to explore their inner world in a way that is more accessible and natural to them.
Play Therapy is an appropriate approach for children experiencing a range of difficulties and is an excellent provision to incorporate into schools as part of a strategy to support children and young people's mental health.
